Big, BIG thunderstorms moving through right now. LOTS of rain. Lightning and thunder. Tornado watches. Possible hail. Sky is black.
Kids and dogs are down in the basement, watching TV and hoping the power doesn’t fail.
Good thing I just finished the outside yard work about 30 minutes ago. Bizarre though … it was sunny and hot out just 30 minutes ago. Scury.
The problem with four-day work weeks ...

We had a flyer on our front door tonight stating that they’d be filming some scenes for an independent film in our neighborhood tomorrow. Wow, nice notice, eh?

So Then I Said ...
One of the many fights we have with our six-year-old is how to interrupt. His style is to say “Hey Mommy” or “Hey Daddy” and then continue to ask his question or make his statement. We’re trying to teach him to say “Excuse me Mommy/Daddy” and then wait for either of us to finish our discussion. Sometimes he gets it … sometimes not.

I took the kids to see “Speed Racer” last night. The movie, not the person.
My daughter’s review: meh. (Keep in mind, she was with her friend and they were pretty determined right off the bat to not like it … but still, probably not made for tween girls.)
