Okay, so clearly Pepsi is the Jan Brady in this relationship. But frankly, I don’t care.
I think Pepsi is nice. It doesn’t leave my teeth feeling weird the way Coke does. And I admire a good rebranding now and then. I mean… it’s nice that it’s coming into its own and not still emulating the Coke logo, ya know?
Pepsi went through puberty and now they’ve come out with this sleek new font and curvacious new logo and all of a sudden it’s like “WHOA, maybe I shouldn’t have bullied Jan so much.”
And I get it, Marsha’s tried and true — but sometimes I want a little gamble, ya know? Sometimes I want Jan to feel hotter.
Coke totally went to Brown where she met her cardiologist husband and now they’re married with four kids living in a suburb and spending their weekends going to lacrosse games and buying popover tins at Williams-Sonoma.
Pepsi like… got her heart broken one too many times, married the wrong guy, got divorced, and is now the crazy free-spirited aunt who talks a little too openly about her sex life when drunk and wants to travel the world via hot air balloon on the honeymoon she won’t have with the soulmate she’ll never find.
Rootin for ya, Peps.
Also, this graphic really brought to my attention what a weird word Pepsi is. Does it even mean anything?
brb, wikipedia.
I don’t mind a good rebranding now and then either. But Coke is where it’s at. Better flavor, IMHO. My fave has to be Vanilla Coke Zero though … tasty!](http://25.media.tumblr.com/hG4Rfk6SFqg8uxvci5SpncwWo1_500.jpg)
